Our Genes & Evolution
To be able to talk about something that is not working, it is essential that one lives through it first.
Our innovators have all deeply felt the frustration when looking for employment. We have noticed and experienced the limitations of the current recruitment system for jobseekers and companies alike.
This is why we built JobDNA.me, a platform that focuses on your skills, knowledge and experience. A platform that will improve everyone’s lives.
Our Story
“I found myself in the job market after a couple of decades of work and several changes in career paths. Despite being a seasoned professional with experience in various fields such as government, mining, oil & gas and tourism, I encountered a fragmented recruitment system that left me puzzled. I diligently engaged in all the necessary steps to secure a new job, yet the results were often disheartening or mismatched with my skills. I spent many hours looking for opportunities, researching companies and tailoring my resume to appease both human recruiters and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
I rarely received any acknowledgment or feedback after applying to positions through various ATS platforms. This lack of response created a sense of confusion and suspicion about the entire process. I turned to professional guidance and advice, only to be surprised by some unorthodox recommendations such as contacting company employees for casual coffee meetups. This solidified my sense that my efforts were not truly appreciated. Moreover, recruiters seemed to display little genuine interest in the candidates they encountered. ”

The Timeline
2014
Ross Lindsay, CEO and founder of JobDNA.me, first noticed the gaps in recruitment.
2017
Ross started researching the recruitment process to discover that resumes and cover letters were, in fact, not that helpful in the hiring process. AI-powered platforms were on the rise, assessing candidates on their actual abilities and competencies. In other words, their skills.
2018
Businesses and industries increasingly shifted to skills-based recruiting. Companies assessed the applicants’ specific abilities, experiences and potential rather than solely relying on traditional credentials.
2018
Ross started working on the idea of building a platform providing a different, faster and more efficient recruitment. Jobseekers will showcase their skills through dynamic portfolios, virtual simulations and interactive assessments. AI algorithms will match candidates with positions, considering technical skills, soft skills, and adaptability.
He worked on defining what skills are needed for different job types and what industry-relevant skills could be identified to reflect what is truly needed to be successful in a position.
This transformative approach promotes fairer recruitment practices. Candidates are hired based on their true potential.
2022
JobDNA.me was launched.
Our Mission
“JobDNA.me was born out of my need to have value for my education, training, skills and industry experience and be in the best possible position to be employed. It is designed to streamline the recruitment process, give people real value to skill, knowledge and industry experience while giving all jobseekers and employees a digital tool to help them with job seeking while addressing skills shortages, skills mismatch and the capacity to upskill for work.”

At JobDNA.me, we want to build technology that delivers real benefits to users. JobDNA.me is a completely innovative system that utilises more than 20,800 industry-identified skills designed to enable people to have a portfolio of evidence for interactions between job seekers and employers.
JobDNA.me facilitates job posting and search. After a job is uploaded, jobseeker users with the required skills receive a notification offering them to apply. The process requires no cover letters or CVs. A response is approval for the potential employer to view the jobseeker’s profile and proceed with an interview, onboarding and employment.
Frequently Asked Questions
JobDNA.me offers three payment tiers for jobseekers and employers or recruiters. In both cases, there is a Forever Free option that enables a recruitment interaction without more advanced capabilities.
The paid tiers incur an annual cost and provide additional features, functions and data storage. More detailed information on the tiers can be found here.
You can print all skills data you have uploaded on your JobDNA.me account. We call this a skills resume. If you want to apply for jobs in the “traditional” way, you can use this as a supporting document.
For example, the Jobseeker account includes 2 GB of storage. This allows users to upload two-minute videos, images and other relevant documents. All this data will be transformed into a file, forming the base of your skills resume.
Yes, you own your JobDNA.me profile.
JobDNA.me only enables you to connect to employers on JobDNA.me when a position is secured. This ensures that when you leave an employer, they are not keeping your information or causing you difficulties in demonstrating your skills, industry knowledge, education and training in your next job. You no longer have evidence of your work history retained by past employers.
A key focus of JobDNA.me is data security and the need to comply with the highest international standards and requirements. JobDNA.me utilises Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS) allowing you to access data at both official and protected classifications, from any device, anywhere at any time, securely using HTTPS.
Built using S3-compliant Cloudian Hyperstore, our STaaS partner provides S3-compatible object storage able to function as both ‘hot’ (active) and ‘cold’ (archive) storage.
On JobDNA.me, jobseekers can opt to apply for a position they are matched to by swiping right on their smart device. Only after this is done, the employer receives a notification and is able to view the candidate’s information. The link is removed if the employer decides not to interview the candidate.
JobDNA.me performs real-time analysis of candidates’ skills and the skills required for a position. The algorithm compares both profiles, providing a comprehensive overview and side-to-side comparison of the gap between the skills in both.
Yes, you can delete your profile.
Users are able to delete all their information and profile on the website at no cost.
